    Sorry Al,

I really can't put any places together. Mustard in your area is Bessingers, There was a little place out toward Chapin that Jethro and I went to that served a pretty good tomato style. We were going to get a steak at a little town about 20 miles north of Chapin and happened by it. For good vinegar, you got to go to the Pee Dee. Manning has some good bbq joints. Maybe someone will pipe up.

    Good Q!

    Jack

    Al,

Jack nailed it regarding the vinegar/pepper by suggesting you go to Manning and visit a place called McCabes. They only open on the last days of the week and close early by 8pm. It is 63 miles from Cola so that meets your parameters. McCabes is one of the top BBQ places in SC.
For mustard, Jackie Hites in Batesburg is awesome. Even folks who are not crazy over mustard base will be converts after a trip there.
Both places cook over wood in pits on site. No imitations here.

Al, maybe you could go to a place that you know has good stuff and take your own sauce. That way you might not have to drive as far Razz
