OK this should be General "Black Jack" Pershing. Am I correct?

You are correct............his was a cousin of mine. My Grandma was a Pershing.

I'm familiar with General Pershing since I served three years in a Pershing Missle battery and became very familiar with the term "Black Jack" that was our signal that all hell was about to break loose and we're going to miss some sleep. I served in the 3rd Battalion, 84th Field Artillery Unit, 56th Artillery group, 7th Army.
