Niki and I decided to try Shanes . Ribs were great , fresh hot fries, drinks were good and cold , and the service was fast . Very friendly staff as well. This place shows good promise.

Those "Shanes" are popping up all over the place.

My experience at Shanes was 180 away from yours. 10 minutes at counter never was asked for my order nor greeted. They had their chance and muffed it. Never will I darken their doors again.

I've only eaten at the Shane's in Florence, SC and it has always been fantastic!

They picked the correct name when they chose to incorporate Rib Shack because the ribs are among the best I have ever eaten. Simply wonderful.
I'd recommend Shane's Rib Shack to anyone. Very good food at a very reasonable price. cheers

I also enjoy the one in Mount Pleasant, while they aren't perfect at keeping somebody to take the order I've never had to wait too awfuly long...no worse than going to "fast food" here in Charleston. Sauce reminds me of what they have at Carolina County in Gastonia...the among the first bbq I ever knew.

PostSubject: Closed for business   Wed Nov 04, 2009 4:23 pm

I was looking forward to eating at Shane's Ribs Shack in Florence. It also seemed a dual winner since I could do a restaurant review and let it count toward certification as an SCBA judge. Prepared for some good ribs, I pulled up to the restaurant to be greeted by a "Closed for Business" sign on the door. Guess I was a day late and a rib short!
