Went to Short Sugars for Friday lunch, passing through on the way back from a brief trip to VA. I made a special trip for this and it was very, very disapointing.

What was supposed to be chopped pork was cold (slimy my wife said) and chuncky. It was supposed to be pit cooked, but if it was I couldn't tell. Its only redeeming grace was their eastern NC vinegar sauce.

Lived in NC for 10 years and was looking for the real deal but Short Sugars certainly did not live up to the hype or the magazine and newspaper articles posted in the restaurant
