Do you love BBQ? If you’re like most folks, you do. You now have the unique opportunity to learn to make great BBQ like your favorite BBQ restaurant, or like the professional BBQ teams seen on TV. Don’t let this one of a kind BBQ experience pass you by. The Carolina Pit Masters BBQ Cooking School is coming to the Charleston, SC area. Teaming up with the Charleston area Shriners and the Summerville Miracle League, this special event will benefit multiple organizations.

The Carolina Pit Masters are conducting a professional BBQ cooking school March 11th and 12th, 2011 at the Dorchester Shrine Club in Summerville, SC. Here is your opportunity to learn the art of cooking great BBQ. Whether you cook for family and friends or cook competitively, the Carolina Pit Masters Cooking School can help you improve your BBQ skills.

The Carolina Pit Master BBQ Cooking School is led by champion Pit Masters Jack Waiboer and Russ Cornette, along with a very notable crew. These gentlemen have over 25 years experience in competition BBQ and have won numerous BBQ awards. You will actively participate in planning, selecting, preparing, cooking and presenting five different types of BBQ; Chicken, Ribs, Pork Butts, Beef Brisket and the ultimate challenge, Whole Hog. You will learn the low and slow methods of smoking meat that makes BBQ one of America’s favorite eats.

The Carolina Pit Master’s two-day School is the only school of its kind. It puts you in the middle of a simulated BBQ competition. As part of a team, you will prepare your BBQ and learn to control the three “Ts”, Time, Temperature and Technique. You will also learn what BBQ judges are looking for by being part of an open judging session of certified BBQ judges, providing you the opportunity to observe how BBQ is judged and receive direct feedback on your BBQ. Carolina Pit Masters is the longest running BBQ school in South Carolina and has produced many BBQ Champions along the way.

Spend a weekend learning the fine art of BBQ and help make a difference in a child’s life. Make plans to attend the Carolina Pit Masters BBQ Cooking School and benefit the Summerville Miracle League and the Dorchester Shrine Club. It will make a great gift. Request your application now as space is limited.

Contact carolinapitmasters@/gmail.com or http://carolinapitmasters.com/ for information and to enroll today. Please visit , or friend us on facebook to stay current with all of the updates available.

The Carolina Pit Masters are proud to support the Summerville Miracle League and the Dorchester Shrine Club.

There are enough KCBS contests in SC to warrent the category. We're just trying to improve our position in the market. There isn't much we don't teach at CPM since we are adding all of the KCBS categories. The SBN scoring system is very similar to the KCBS system, we are also adding green boxes. You can't get a more complete class anywhere. If I wasn't teaching it, I'd register myowndamself. Quite a deal for five hunion.

    You comin'??

    Good Q!

    Hey Sammy,

    There are limited spots available.

Funny thing about cookers. They always wait until the last minute to send in entry fees.

    Good Q!

Sammy, Find the Money.. This Class is worth every penny. If you are wanting to learn more and become a serious BBQ'er this is the one to go to. Not only will you learn a lot, but you will make some friends that share the same passion that you do. Doug Quinn and I both attending this school. I would venture to say that we have really benifitted dfrom it.

All past students are welcome to return anytime to help out on a volunteer basis by contributing something to the event such as cooker space, pulling a fire watch, cleaning bathrooms, etc.... Since CPM is now offering the KCBS 4, there is a lot more interest this year from past years. The school has evolved into multi sanction school, as we are now teaching SCBA, SBN, and now KCBS. KCBS is becoming more prominent in South Carolina, and more teams are cooking that format, which is why it is being introduced this year to fill that void in the market. If you are past Pit Master and would like to take the class again, contact Jack or me to discuss.
