I do not know if it is the same at other stores or not but at our local Northern Tool they had a pallet of Frontier brand lump that they put on sale for 9.99 for a 20 lb bag. I bought the Boiling Springs store out so you will have to go some where else Very Happy .

That is a good price. I've been buying that same bag at ACE hardware for $12.00/bag.

I was in Restaurant Depot in Charlotte this week picking up several items, they have Royal Oak Lump Charcaol in a 17.6 pound bag for $7.99 per bag. I picked up a couple of bags to try, I have used several other brands of lump but not Royal oak. I will post back and let everyone know how it performs.

If u have access to RD in Charlotte and use lump that RO is the best deal around.
In a comp I use Kingsford Comp for other reasons, I do use lump at home.
I know that sounds messed-up, but my cooker is gravity feed and has been known to jam or bridge-up when burning lump, never has with the KC.

I have 2 backwoods parties an I use RO bricketts. Get a little longer burn time and higher temp fro that over lump. I also use the RO lump if I just need to add a little heat for a short time.
